Kenneth Patton, President of Sagewood Homes has a lifetime of experience in
the construction industry.  He first learned his craft as an apprentice under his
father, who was a Master Carpenter.  At the age of 24, Mr. Patton started his first
company as a framing contractor.  As Houston’s economy changed through the
years, his company expanded to new home construction, remodeling and
commercial projects.  Mr. Patton’s reputation as an honest and fair contractor
propelled him into the Custom Home market. His 45 years of experience and 35
years owning his own business provides Sagewood Homes customers with an
incredible source of knowledge and expertise.

Lee Patton of Sagewood Homes was educated at Sam Houston State University,
receiving a B.S. degree in business finance.  Mr. Patton has had extensive
involvement in the building industry since starting his career in 1988 in the new
home construction business with his father company.  He started as a framer and
over the next few years he became responsible for supervising crews, estimating
take-offs, and accounting.  Inn addition, Mr. Patton has been a Purchasing Manager
and Estimating Manager for two of the largest home builders in the state of Texas,
where he has been responsible for managing over 20 people. 

As purchasing manager Mr. Patton was responsible for the negotiation and
purchase of all materials and products needed to finish the home from start to
finish. He was also responsible for all the cost of the homes which then determined
the sales price for each home.  Mr. Patton also created and maintained the annual
operating budget for several departments in the company, these budgets ranged
from $100,000 dollars to over $3.5 million dollars.  As an estimating manager Mr.
Patton was responsible for getting accurate take-offs complete and receiving the bids
from vendors we needed to complete the cost of each home.  With Mr. Patton’s
experience being in the purchasing side of the construction business, he is responsible
for the operations of Sagewood Homes.
